3 Fresh & Simple Cocktails to Create for Spring
There’s more than tender, young plants bursting onto the scene in mild weather—we’re also looking forward to some refreshing spring cocktails. We’re busting out fruits, veggies and herbs to pair with some of our favorite liquors. The results? Light cocktails showing off bright flavors.
Here are three of our favorites you must try now:
Rosemary and Cucumber Gin and Tonic
One serving
Ingredients
- ½ cucumber, peeled and sliced
- 2 lime wedges
- 2 rosemary sprigs
- 2 oz. gin
- 4 oz. tonic
Method
- Muddle cucumber, rosemary, juice from one lime wedge and 1 oz. gin in a glass.
- Strain into a tall glass.
- Add remaining gin and tonic, plus ice and cucumber slices to your taste.
- Garnish with rosemary sprig.

Strawberry & Rose Spritzer
Serves four
Ingredients
- ¼ cup strawberries
- 1 Tbsp. fine sugar
- 1 tsp. rose water
- 2 cups rose wine
- 3 cups seltzer
Method
- Muddle strawberries, sugar and rose water.
- Split among four glasses.
- Add wine and seltzer, and gently stir. (Pro tip: make sure the wine and seltzer are chilled—no ice!)

Watermelon Mojito
One serving
Ingredients
- 2 oz. rum
- 1 oz. fresh lime juice
- 1 oz. simple syrup
- 5–10 mint leaves
- 4 oz. cubed watermelon
Method
- Muddle mint and watermelon in a glass.
- Add rum, lime juice and simple syrup.
- Add ice and shake well.
- Pour into a glass—don’t strain.
