MOJITO

Havana, Cuba, is the birthplace of the Mojito, although the exact origin of this classic cocktail is the subject of debate. One story traces the Mojito to a similar 16th century drink known as "El Draque", after Sir Francis Drake.

Below is our non-alcoholic interpretation of this iconic drink.

INGREDIENTS

1/3 cup Apple juice

1/3 cup Sparkling water

1 whole lime, sliced and quartered

3 mint leaves

1 teaspoon sugar

PREPARATION

Muddle lime, sugar and mint leaves until they release the juice;

Place ice into a glass, add muddled mixture and pour in apple juice;

Top with sparkling water and stir;

Garnish with a slice of lime and mint leaf and serve in the Michelangelo Masterpiece Glass.

STRAWBERRY-GINGER LEMONADE

A collection of summer refreshing non-alcoholic cocktails must necessarily include lemonade cause it is such a great summertime treat! The classic drink recipe includes water, lemon or lime juice and sugar. But today, lemonade is considered to be all soft drinks based on water or juice, with the addition of citrus fruits, herbs, berries or fruits. Summer is a strawberry season, so let’s enjoy it at its fullest.

INGREDIENTS

3 hulled strawberries

4 ounces Lemon-Ginger Brew

Lemon slice (for garnish)

PREPARATION

Muddle 3 hulled strawberries in a highball glass (Diamante Beverage glass will suit perfectly);

Add 4 ounces Lemon-Ginger Brew and stir well. Fill glass with ice and garnish with a lemon slice.

APEROL SPRITZ

Aperol Spritz is one of the most fashionable summer cocktails in Europe. Today this drink of amber-orange hue can be found on numerous terraces in big cities, in cozy cafes somewhere on the Mediterranean coast, and at the most noisy parties. Aperol itself is an Italian aperitif similar to Campari but sweeter in taste. It has relatively low alcohol content (11%) so perfect for warm summer afternoons. Best of all, it's very easy to make.

INGREDIENTS

3 parts Prosecco

2 parts Aperol

1 part soda water

Slice of orange

PREPARATION

Pour Aperol into the glass first, over ice (we like to serve ours in a large bowl-style wine glass from Luigi Bormioli Regency Collection);

Add Prosecco;

Add soda water;

Top with a slice of orange and enjoy.
